The filmmaker behind the 2018 Marvel box office smash hit of $1.3 billion is signed to come back for the sequel. With the success of the first film it would only make sense for Ryan Cooler to make a return to Wakanda. It has been expected from Marvel to make sure the team behind Black Panther to do a follow up to make lighting strike twice.
When the smash hit released in February 2018 it certainly made a lot of noise, not only in the film industry but also with the community. It was a critical success receiving high rating across review-aggregation websites. Equally was a commercial success leading in pre sales ticket numbers, surpassing predictions on estimates for its first weekend, and breaking many more records along the way.
It is only a matter of time before the Black Panther sequel with be in Marvel’s next phases going forward after announcements made surely things will move into production.
